Terms of Service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we need from you. We've written them in plain language — legal when it needs to be, but readable.

Accepting These Terms

By creating an account or using RelayCare, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use RelayCare. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

What RelayCare Is (And Isn't)

RelayCare is a coordination tool for family caregivers — a place to track medications, appointments, tasks, and share updates with family members involved in care.

RelayCare is not:

  • Medical advice: Nothing in RelayCare constitutes professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult qualified professionals for those decisions.
  • Emergency services: Don't use RelayCare for emergencies. Call 911 or your local emergency number.
  • A substitute for professional care: RelayCare helps you coordinate care, but it doesn't replace doctors, nurses, caregivers, or other professionals.
  • A medical device: RelayCare is not FDA approved or regulated as a medical device.
  • A HIPAA-covered service: RelayCare is a tool for families, not a healthcare provider, and doesn't claim HIPAA compliance or certification.

AI features can be wrong. Summaries, breakdowns, and suggested tasks are drafts made by software from the documents and recordings you give it. They can miss things or get them wrong. Check them against the original, and ask a clinician about anything medical.

Recording conversations. Laws about recording differ by state, and some require everyone's consent. You're responsible for getting that consent before you record, and for following the law where you are.

Your Account and Responsibilities

When you create a RelayCare account:

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for who you invite to your care plan and what information they can see.
  • If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use RelayCare for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of RelayCare
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers/networks connected to it
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Use RelayCare to harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your Content

You own the information you put into RelayCare — medication records, appointment notes, documents, etc.

By using RelayCare, you grant us permission to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service. This includes:

  • Showing your content to family members you authorize
  • Backing up your content to prevent data loss
  • Using AI features to transcribe appointments or analyze documents (when you use those features)

This permission ends when you delete your content or close your account, except for copies retained in backups for a limited time.

Payment and Billing

RelayCare is currently free during the testing period, and we don't charge or collect payment details. If we introduce paid plans, we will publish the price, how billing and cancellation work, and the refund terms first, and you won't be charged unless you clearly agree to a paid plan. See our Refund Policy.

Service Availability

We work hard to keep RelayCare available and reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Unexpected technical issues
  • Factors outside our control (internet outages, hosting provider issues)

We'll do our best to notify you in advance of scheduled maintenance.

Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of RelayCare at any time. We'll give you reasonable notice if we're making changes that significantly affect how you use the service.

Disclaimers and Limitations

RelayCare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All data will be accurate or complete
  • Defects will be corrected immediately
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, RelayCare and its team members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from your use of the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Termination

You can stop using RelayCare and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these terms
  • Your account has been inactive for an extended period
  • We're required to do so by law or legal process
  • Continuing to provide service creates risk for us, other users, or third parties

When your account is terminated, your access to RelayCare ends immediately. We'll delete your data according to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through the service. Your continued use of RelayCare after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before filing a legal claim, please contact us at legal@getrelaycare.com to try to resolve the issue informally.
