Medication Management

Medication Tracking

A shared medication list with a plan for today, so the whole family can see what's due and what's been given — and log each dose as taken, skipped, or missed.

  • Shared Medication List. Names, doses, and schedules in one place that every family member with access can see.
  • Dose Logging. Mark each dose as taken, skipped, or missed, and see the history.
  • Today's Plan. See at a glance what's due today.
  • Flag a Refill. Note that a medication is running low and turn it into a task for someone to handle.

Smart Documentation

Appointment Recorder

A voice recorder in the phone app for medical appointments — press record, and RelayCare turns the conversation into a draft recap and suggested next steps for you to review.

  • Simple Recording. Open the phone app and press record. Only record when everyone in the room has agreed.
  • Transcription. The recording is turned into text, so you can go back over what was said. Transcription can miss or mishear words.
  • Draft Recap and Next Steps. RelayCare reads the transcript and drafts a recap and suggested next steps. Nothing is added to the care plan until you approve it, and the draft can be wrong.
  • Shareable with Family. The recap stays a private draft until you choose to share it with your Care Circle.

Document Analyzer

An AI-powered document reader that takes dense medical paperwork — discharge summaries, care plans, test results — and pulls out the details worth a closer look.

  • Photo or PDF. Take a photo, or upload a PDF, JPG, or PNG, of a discharge packet, care plan, or lab results, and RelayCare reads the text.
  • AI Extraction. The system looks for key information: new medications, follow-up instructions, warning signs, appointment dates. It can miss or misread things, so check the original.
  • Plain-Language Summary. Instead of medical jargon, you get a clear breakdown of what's changed, what you need to do, and what to watch for.
  • Suggestions, Not Automatic Changes. New medications, appointments, and tasks are suggested for your care plan. Nothing is added until you approve it.

Document Vault

Secure, organized storage for every important document related to your parent's care — all in one place, accessible to the family members who need it.

  • Centralized Storage. Insurance cards, power of attorney, living wills, care plans, test results — upload it once, access it anywhere.
  • Organized by Category. Choose a category when you upload, then search by title, tag, or category to find what you need.
  • Multi-User Access. Authorized family members can view and upload documents.
  • Emergency Access. When you need the insurance card at the ER, it's there.

Appointments & Scheduling

Appointment Coordination & Transport

A family-wide appointment calendar that tracks who's going, who's driving, what was discussed, and what needs to happen next.

  • Synced Family Calendar. Every appointment is visible to authorized family members, with details on time, location, and purpose.
  • Transport Assignment. Assign who's driving. See who confirmed.
  • Appointment Notes. Document what happened, what the doctor said, and what's next.
  • Follow-Up Suggestions. If the recap says 'schedule a follow-up in 3 months,' RelayCare can suggest a task for it. You decide whether to add it.

Care Week View

A weekly calendar view designed specifically for caregiving — showing appointments, medication schedules, tasks, and coverage assignments in a single, scannable layout.

  • Unified Weekly View. All care-related events in one place, organized by day.
  • Color-Coded by Type. Appointments, medications, tasks, and coverage blocks are visually distinct.
  • Coverage Gaps Highlighted. If nobody's assigned to Thursday afternoon, you see it.
  • Mobile & Desktop. Check the week on your phone, adjust it on your laptop.

Weekly Care Planning

A single, unified view of the week ahead — every appointment, every task, every medication reminder — built for the person coordinating it all.

  • One-Week Dashboard. See the entire week at a glance.
  • Status Tracking. What's scheduled, what's done, what's overdue, what's coming up.
  • Family Coordination. See who's assigned to what, and where coverage gaps exist.

Family Collaboration

Family Handoff Notes

Auto-generated handoff summaries that let you brief another family member, aide, or caregiver without re-explaining everything from memory.

  • One-Click Generation. Generate a handoff summary straight from the current care plan.
  • Includes Everything. Current medications, upcoming appointments, recent changes, what to watch for, emergency contacts.
  • Print or Share. Send it by text, email, or print a physical copy.
  • Always Up to Date. Pulls from your live care plan, reflecting the actual current state.

Task Assignment Across the Household

A shared task system that lets you assign specific care tasks to specific people — with clear ownership, due dates, and accountability.

  • Assign to Anyone. Assign the pharmacy run to your brother, the grocery list to your sister.
  • Due Dates & Reminders. Set when it needs to be done. Get reminders as the deadline approaches.
  • Mark Complete. When the task is done, mark it complete. Everyone sees it's handled.
  • Clear Ownership. Every task has a name on it.

Protected Time

A scheduling feature that lets you flag specific hours when you need coverage — and a family member confirms they've got it, so your time off is actually off.

  • Block Time Off. Mark the hours you're unavailable.
  • Request Coverage. The request goes to authorized family members. Someone confirms they'll cover.
  • Confirmed = Protected. Once coverage is confirmed, that time is truly yours.
  • Visible to Everyone. The family can see who's covering when.

  • Categorized Contacts. Primary care doctor, specialists, pharmacy, hospital, family members, all organized by type.
  • Quick Access. In an emergency, open the app and the contacts are right there.
  • Shared Across Family. Every authorized family member sees the same list.
  • Notes Field. Add context like 'Call after 2 PM' or 'Ask for nurse Lisa.'

When a task or situation stalls and you're not sure what to do next, RelayCare offers a starting point — whether that's a plan for your own family or notes to bring to a professional.

  • Contextual Suggestions. Based on your current care plan, RelayCare suggests logical next steps.
  • Unstuck Support. Get a starting point instead of a blank screen.
  • Professional Guidance Prep. Generate a summary to bring to a care manager, social worker, or doctor.
